Harnaaz Sandhu, a 21-year-old model from India, was named Miss Universe 2021, beating out a field of 80 candidates.
She was one of the top three finalists in the 70th Miss Universe pageant, which was held in Eilat, Israel.
Andrea Meza of Mexico, the former Miss Universe, crowned her successor, a Bollywood actress, at the Israeli Red Sea resort town of Eilat. To fit the primetime schedule in the United States, the pageant was conducted in the middle of the night, winding up at 5 a.m. local time (10 p.m. EST).
Contestants from Paraguay and South Africa joined her in this last phase to capture the title.
Harnaaz Sandhu was born and reared in Punjab, where she attended Shivalik Public School and Chandigarh’s Post Graduate Government College for Girls. The diva is pursuing her Master’s degree in Public Administration at the moment.
Miss Chandigarh 2017 and Miss Max Emerging Star India 2018 are among the titles Ms. Sandhu has won since she began competing in pageants at the age of 17.
She was crowned Femina Miss India Punjab 2019 in 2019 and then participated in Femina Miss India. Femina Miss India placed her among the top 12 contestants.
Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu will now dwell in New York and attend a variety of international events.
