Microsoft’s Windows 11 was released for eligible devices on October 5th. This update is available free of charge to anyone who is already using Windows 10. Keep in mind that Microsoft is gradually deploying operating systems. The system may not yet show the upgrade option.
According to a Microsoft blog post in August, the company expects that “all suitable devices will receive a free upgrade to Windows 11 by mid-2022.” Don’t you want to wait? Read on to see how the Windows 11 Setup Wizard is a shortcut to Windows 11.
You can also manually download Windows 11 to see new features such as widgets, instant layouts, virtual desktops, and the new Microsoft Store. Well, I will talk about it below. Here’s everything you need to know about new Microsoft software before downloading.
Some users can download Windows 11 in the same way they get a new version of Windows. Simply go to Settings> Update & Security> Windows Update and click Check for Updates. If available, you’ll see a feature upgrade to Windows 11. Click Download and Install.
If the update isn’t available yet, but you want to update now, you have several options. The best and easiest option is to download the Windows 11 installation wizard. After downloading, select Start to make sure your hardware is compatible. After agreeing, install and accept the license terms to start the installation. Once the program is installed, you will be prompted to restart your computer. Don’t panic, as your computer may restart repeatedly while the installation is complete. Keep your computer turned on until everything is ready.
If you can’t use the Windows 11 installation wizard, there are some backup options, but keep in mind that they are more complicated. We strongly recommend that you consider waiting for the update to appear on your device. If you want to continue, you can create a Windows 11 installation media or an ISO file.
