Bombay High Court has granted bail to Raj Kundra who was arrested months ago in a pornography case.
Actor Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra was granted bail on a surety of Rs 50,000, two months after his arrest over the allegation of shooting and streaming pornographic content.
According to updates, Raj Kundra is expected to walk out of jail on Tuesday morning at around 10.30 am.
Bombay High Court has filed a 1,400-page charge sheet in court over his arrest under sections of IPC and the IT act on July 19.
The bail was granted after the businessman moved to the court, a bail application claiming that he was a “scapegoat” in the whole venture and there is no evidence yet found which could prove his involvement as per the charge sheet.
Raj also claimed that he was charged with involvement in shooting and streaming “alleged questionable content” through various apps.
The charge sheet involves 43 witnesses which also includes his wife and actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra.
The actor also made her statement she didn’t know about any of the apps such as “Hotshots” or “Bollyfame” which is involved in the porn case.
