Automobili Pininfarina has made its debut first production-spec Battista hyper-EV ahead of Monterey Car Week in California, after two years of its first showcase at the Geneva Motor Show in concept form.
“The most powerful road-legal Italian car ever built”, the Pininfarina Battista produces 1,900hp from a quad-motor powertrain.
The Battista’s powertrain produces 1,900hp and 2,300Nm of torque from a quad-motor powertrain (one for each wheel) as used by its rival Rimac Nevera.
According to Pininfarina, the car can accelerate to 100kph in under 2sec, 0-300kph in less than 12sec, and reach a top speed of around 350kph. The Battista has a 120kWh battery pack with a range of 500km and charging speeds of up to 180kW.
The design of the Battista remains the same as its prototype production model revealed last year with driver-centric high-speed thrills and long-distance refinement.
“the beginning of another significant chapter in the Automobili Pininfarina story”, said Automobili Pininfarina CEO Per Svantesson
“We are excited to showcase the beautiful and sustainable future of luxury to our clients while celebrating over 90 years of Pininfarina design heritage during Monterey Car Week. We look forward to our clients in the US experiencing the immense dynamic performance and personalized luxury of Battista for the first time,” he further added.
The Battista is primarily focused on the left-hand drive market and there will be only 150 units to be distributed among Europe, the US, and the rest of the world with an estimated premium price tag of GBP 1.7 million or 2.3 Million USD.
