Amid the Pandemic, the first case of Yellow Fungus has been reported in Ghaziabad, India. The country was already suffering from Covid-19 followed by Black Fungus and the recently reported White Fungus.
The Yellow Fungus infection is considered more dangerous than both Black Fungus and White Fungus and the infected person is being treated at the hospital of noted ENT surgeon Brij Pal Tyagi.
Like Black Fungus and White Fungus, Yellow Fungus is a fungal infection caused by insanitation, but unlike the other two, Yellow Fungus is scarier considering the effect of the infection on the human body and its internal organs.
Yellow Fungus affects internally, causes pus leakage, slows down the healing of wounds, and, in serious cases, can also cause devastating symptoms such as organ failure and shrinking of eyes due to acute necrosis. Therefore, patients are advised to seek medical care as soon as possible.
Like every other fungal infection, Yellow Fungus is also caused by insanitation, and overuse of immunity suppressing medicines like steroids and certain antibacterial medications.
